Don’t neglect your hair on holiday, say leading experts KH Hair. Group creative director Darren Messias commented: “Everyone is very skin aware in the sun – we’re better informed now and high factor sun cream is the norm – but so many people neglect their hair on holiday with the result that the only option is a drastic cut.

“A good sunhat and seeking the shade between 12 and 2.00pm is the safest option, but there are other measures you can take to help protect hair from the negative effects of sun, sea and chlorine. Here are my top tips:

• Chlorinated or seawater water is a nightmare for hair and scalp – ensure that you rinse hair with fresh water after swimming.

Now’s the time to take the plunge says Darren, this season you’ll have plenty of choices in the blonde spectrum, with the range going from pure platinum all the way to delicious strawberry. The only shade to totally avoid is yellow! And in truth blonde is not a colour that suits us all – don’t forget to take into account your skin tone, eye colour and your favourite fashion shades too.

Couture Styling

Our fashion-forward trend scouts were at London Fashion Week to bring you an insight into the Spring/Summer ’10 trends, and were there for the hottest show in town, House of Holland.

The city’s celebrity elite flocked to the front row to get first glimpse of the upcoming looks. The SS10 collection was inspired by 1980’s weddings, and we predict that lace, denim and splashes of neon will be the looks to covet next season.
